To celebrate our 10th anniversary, Open Up Sheffield has invited 16 of our 2d artists participating in the Artists Open Studios South Yorkshire 2008 event, to take part in an exhibition in the beautiful setting of the Winter Gardens.

These artists have been chosen to represent different approaches and media, as a snap shot of the fantastic variety of creative talent in our region;

Nancy Alford, Robert Twigg and Paul Schatzberger show a range of photographic techniques, Charlie Downes and Jeff Perks present two different approaches to printmaking Kate Wells will be exhibiting work in textiles Cynthia Harrison uses a variety of techniques in her work Erica Just paints delicately in water colour Lyn Hodnett specialises in strong symbolic female imagery Mark H. Wilson, Jenny Mather, and Paul Ashwell all bring a contemporary approach to acrylic painting with different subject interests Anne Turk and Steve Elliott work in different ways with pastels.

From Saturday 19th until sat 3rd May, one of the artists will be available to talk with the public, about their work and the open studio event, between 11am and 2pm each day.
