I use traditional silversmithing techniques to create contemporary silver and gold fine jewellery. Visitors will be welcome to try out some of these techniques.
I have worked for over 15 years making silver and gold jewellery in Sheffield and have recently moved to a new workshop and studio space at Victoria Quay. If you haven’t visited Victoria Quay before the canal basin has been beautifully restored and is a very inspiring place to work.
My most recognisable collection is made up of large one off pieces based on myth and symbolism that are often very narrative. My work tends to be very tactile and I like to make jewellery you constantly want to touch and feel the different textures of the metal and stones. I welcome commissions and bespoke design work.
If you would like to have a go at silver jewellery making during Open Up, please contact me and I will book you a 30 minute slot to try some of the techniques and hopefully take small item away with you.
STUDIO: A charming and cosy workspace with design studio on entrance following into the workshop in a beautiful and historic setting.
