I work in most media (oils, watercolour, acrylics, gouache, pastels) and cover most subjects. My leaning at present is towards landscapes and marine art plus portraits and farm animals.
Born in Doncaster in 1952, I was always interested in drawing and painting from a child, I graduated from Doncaster College of Art with Distinction, before becoming a junior designer/illustrator for The South Yorkshire Times and White Rose Press in Mexborough. I ran my own business in the graphics industry for many years before returning to my first love, art, in 2005.
I work in a variety of media, from watercolour to oils, acrylics, pastels and mixed media. My background in graphic design clearly influences my painting style and my striking use of colour adds a fresh vibrancy to my work.
I have had work accepted by the Royal Watercolour Society and the Royal Society of Marine Artists for their annual exhibitions in 2008 and 2009.
STUDIO: My studio is full of work in various mediums, some in progress and many finished which are exhibited upon the walls. Some prints are also available.
