Works on paper, canvas, collage and stitch inspired by a love of landscape and birds. ‘Fragments of Splendour’ - new samples in gold threads explores pattern and spirit.

Making art is a mysterious inevitability. We live surrounded by beauty, inner and outer. It’s an instinct which feels like a common thread joining it all together.

My work is in response to landscape, wild, open places and a love of birds.

It’s detailed work with subtle colour or loose pen and ink drawings with collage. There’s a natural connection between text and touch, words and inferences, lines of thought, lines drawn and lines stitched whether by hand or machine.

"Fragments of Splendour" is recent work exploring pattern and spirit in gold threads.
