I work mainly in pastels; their immediacy and freshness seem to suit my style of working – and outlook.

Somehow, I’d all but forgotten that once upon a time I’d wanted to go to art college. Then about eight years ago, a friend persuaded me to join an art group. I rediscovered that long-lost delight in drawing and painting. After eight years, it’s an added bonus that my work regularly continues to sell.
