I am a professional glass bead maker and jewellery designer, creating glass beads using a torch and kiln. Live demonstrations given on all days.

I am a full-time lampwork artist and jewellery designer, shaping glass in the flame into beads and small ornamental objects.

After a degree in Music, I worked in education for a number of years, including as a teacher, a lecturer, and an educational developer. Now, I work from my two-torch studio in the beautiful Peak District, and teach glass bead making both to individuals and on group courses.

I am best known for my sculptural rose and butterfly beads, and am regularly published and exhibited in the UK and Germany. My inspiration, unsurprisingly, comes from my beautiful Peak District surroundings, although I have a love for words and poetry, which results in a constant flow of new ideas.

I sell both glass beads and jewellery, including celebratory jewellery made from champagne bottle glass beads, using bottles from weddings, birthdays, corporate events and other celebrations.

STUDIO: A purpose-refurbished studio equipped with space for up to three students and a variety of cold-working equipment.

DIRECTIONS: Catch the tram link bus from Middlewood Interchange, get off in Stocksbridge at Cedar Road/Coal Pit Lane. This is the outer edge of Stocksbridge – turn around and you can see Bolsterstone (square church tower) about 0.2 miles away. Walk to centre of village (on Stone Moor Rd), studio is opposite church.
