Original paintings in pastel and mixed media, recording light and colour in the Derbyshire landscape. Capturing the spirit and atmosphere of the Peak Park in an individual style.

I am a landscape painter living and working on the edge of the Derbyshire Peak District. When not in the studio, time is spent out on the hills, sketching, observing and absorbing the light, colour and rhythms in the landscape. Light and colour are the focus for my varied approach in technique and style as I seek ways of expressing the mood and atmosphere of the Derbyshire landscape. I enjoy finding new ways of creating the visual qualities I want in my work, and experimenting with media and styles is a part of this. The majority of my work is in pastel which is superbly adapted to the expression of light and colour.

I work from my studio at home and visitors are welcome to browse with no pressure to buy. My work has been awarded a number of prizes and has appeared in galleries and exhibitions across the UK.

STUDIO: Original work in progress; up to 100 paintings on view plus prints and cards. Visitors are free to browse.
